Our Crane

NSA Members have access to a certified 12,000 lb. (6 ton) capacity crane, in the harbor by A-dock protected by a large rock jetty.

The crane allows safe and easy launching and retrieval of boats. A high-pressure sprayer is available for wash-downs, as well as a sanitary pump out station.

A free, one-hour crane seminar is necessary to use the crane. These seminars are throughout the sailing year with the dates posted in the Mainsheet Newsletter. Only active members who have completed the Crane Training Program may hold a key and be allowed to operate the crane.

There is a six second flashing orange light atop the crane to help sailors navigate at night.

Moorings

Ninnescah Sailing Association has 10-15 moorings equipped to handle sailboats up to 30 feet long, inside the cove and along the south side of a rocky jetty. The Harbormaster assigns the moorings on the first come, first serve basis.

All boats using a mooring must use the mooring standards set by the Board of Governors.
